PREGNANCY, BIRTH & NEWBORN
This is the beginning of everything — and it deserves to be remembered.
Honest, quiet storytelling for the wildest chapter of your life.
Welcoming a new person into your family can be the most crazy, wonderful, hard and joyous time of your life. And it goes by in an instant. The truth is, you’ll forget things. How your body felt. The sound of their first breath. The softness of their skin on your chest. The way your partner held you. The way you held it all together.
That’s why I do this work. I’m Andrea — a maternity, birth, and newborn photographer in Melbourne — and I’m here to help you remember. Not the curated version. The real version. The raw. The gentle. The overwhelming. The deeply human.

Andréa made me feel so beautiful during my maternity session, capturing moments I didn’t even know I’d want to remember. When our baby arrived, she was patient and gentle, turning those first chaotic weeks into stunning, heartfelt images. Her photos are pure magic—we’ll cherish them forever !

BOOK IN YOUR MATERNITY SHOOT EARLY
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 28-36 weeks. At this point, your bump is beautifully rounded, and you’re still likely feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. It’s a chance to celebrate the incredible transformation your body is going through, capturing the magic of pregnancy before the sleepless nights and baby snuggles begin. Whether you prefer a serene beach at sunset, a cozy home setting, or something a bit more adventurous, booking early allows us to plan the perfect session to reflect your story.
GIVE ME A SHOUT WHEN YOUR BABY MAKES THEIR GRAND ENTRANCE!
Once you're ready (somewhere between midwife visits and figuring out how to drink coffee one-handed), we’ll lock in a date that feels right. No rush—I’d much rather you feel somewhat human and settled than scrambling to “do it all” right away. Trust me, babies stay tiny for longer than you think (even if it doesn’t feel that way during the 3 a.m. feed)!
WHAT IF I’M NOT QUITE READY STRAIGHT AWAY?
No worries at all! The first two weeks are great for capturing that fresh, sleepy newborn vibe, but if you’d rather wait until your baby’s a little more settled (or you’ve had time to feel like yourself again), that’s totally fine. Any age works for baby photos—they’ll just have their own unique charm. As a heads-up: around 4 months, you’ll start seeing those big gummy smiles, and by 8-9 months, it’s all about those chubby baby rolls and adorable sitting-up moments. There’s no wrong time—it’s all about what feels right for you !
